Mandatory new-game initialization and the first essentials in Krosis.
Why you must wait
When the character first appears, the modlist finishes initializing its systems while Legacy of the Dragonborn builds the museum displays. Leave both processes undisturbed until they have finished.
Advice about choosing a route, surveying the area, or preparing equipment belongs to normal play after initialization. It may be useful, but it is separate from this required wait.
When to begin
Begin playing only after the explicit notice that the museum display build is complete. A quiet moment, the end of other messages, or an interface that appears ready is not a substitute for that completion notice.
Three rules for your first steps
- Let initialization finish completely before controlling the character.
- Learn the combat system somewhere safe; habits from unmodified Skyrim will not always carry over.
- Keep unusual and unique items until you understand their purpose, because they may matter to the collection or later progress.
